JHMotorsports is proud to offer 034Motorsport's Street Density Transmission Mount Upgrade for the B8-B8.5 Audi A4-S4-RS4 and A5-S5-RS5! The factory Audi transmission mount assembly features a soft rubber damping medium, which allows for excessive transmission movement at increased power levels, and can break down over time. This movement can be observed as hesitation or lurching when accelerating, decelerating, and shifting.

The 034Motorsport Street Density B8-B8.5 Audi A4-S4-RS4, A5-S5-RS5, Q5-SQ5 Transmission Mount Upgrade is designed to improve the performance of the factory transmission mount assembly with a high durometer rubber mount replacement. This part is a direct, drop-in upgrade for the factory rubber damping medium used at the rear of the transmission mount assembly. In conjunction with other 034Motorsport Drivetrain Mount Upgrades, the Density Line Transmission Mount further reduces unwanted drivetrain movement to ensure that you experience improved throttle response and more direct shifts.

In addition, the factory transmission mount assembly components are not available separately from dealerships, and premature failure of this mount can result in having to buy the entire assembly. The Street Density Transmission Mount Upgrade from 034Motorsport lets you reuse the factory cast portion when replacing/upgrading the stock mount.

This mount was thoroughly tested by 034Motorsport and independent Audi enthusiasts before release. Installation is very straightforward, and is completely reversible.

Note:Installation of this upgrade will result in slightly increased noise and vibration transmission into the cabin, especially in vehicles equipped with the Tiptronic transmission.

What a difference!
I installed this with 034MotorSport's billet aluminum transmission mount insert/brace. The difference is amazing. Before the car would jolt around when letting off the throttle, or rock a bit. When putting the pedal down, you'd feel the car hesitate before responding to it as well. Not only is my ride over-all much smoother now, but it shifts much nicer over all and reacts like a sports car should. I'm still in the break-in period, and there is practically zero noticeable NVH added. What I did notice was a very, very slight hint of added transmission whine, as well as some slight added vibration at sub 1,500 RPM's, but other than that it's flawless. Strongly recommended. Vehicle Code § 27156:
(b) No person shall operate or leave standing upon a highway a motor vehicle that is required to be equipped with a motor vehicle pollution control device under Part 5 (commencing with Section 43000) of Division 26 of the Health and Safety Code or any other certified motor vehicle pollution control device required by any other state law or any rule or regulation adopted pursuant to that law, or required to be equipped with a motor vehicle pollution control device pursuant to the National Emission Standards Act (42 U.S.C. Secs. 7521 to 7550, inclusive) and the standards and regulations adopted pursuant to that federal act, unless the motor vehicle is equipped with the required motor vehicle pollution control device that is correctly installed and in operating condition. No person shall disconnect, modify, or alter any such required device.
(c) No person shall install, sell, offer for sale, or advertise any device, apparatus, or mechanism intended for use with, or as a part of, a required motor vehicle pollution control device or system that alters or modifies the original design or performance of the motor vehicle pollution control device or system.

Health and Safety Code § 43000:
43001. The provisions of this part shall not apply to:
(a) Racing vehicles.

As the aforementioned code sections outline, it is against the law to operate or use a vehicle on public streets or highways with modified, altered, or disconnected motor vehicle pollution control devices. This may include but is not limited to, Evaporative Fuel Controls, Catalysts, DPF, PTOX, PCV Systems, Exhaust Gas Recirculation Systems, Oxygen Sensors, Thermostatic Air Cleaners, Air Intake Systems, Fuel Injectors, Regulators, Adjustable Cam Gears, ECU Programming, Mapping, or other Computer Modifications. Air Pumps, Air Injection, Timing, and any other Emission System Modification(s).

Purchaser acknowledges and certifies to JH Motorsports Inc., that Purchasers vehicle will only be used for racing applications or off road vehicle use only. Purchaser requests these modifications for the purpose of enhancing the vehicle for competitive Racing Applications and will not use this vehicle on public streets or highways.
