Carbon Cleaning Solution or Solvent (Lubro-Moly) for (FSI) Direct Injection Engines

This is a high quality cleaning solution for carbon build up on direct injection engines made by Lubro-Moly. This is a 550CC bottle which is enough liquid to successfully clean 4 cylinder engines up to 10 cylinder engines. We suggest using this solution with our Carbon Cleaning Tool Kit. If you don't already have this kit, please go back one section and add it to your shopping cart.

Carbon Cleaning is something that is often overlooked on newer Direct Injection engines. If carbon buildup is neglected for too long it can start to cause multiple problems with how your engine performs and runs. Carbon Buildup accumulates in the valve pocket of the cylinder head and collects on the shank of the valves.

Excessive carbon buildup will cause a reduction of airflow as well as smooth airflow into the combustion chamber. Some of the common byproducts of this is reduced fuel mileage, reduced engine power, misfires, and poor idle.

When performing a carbon cleaning, you will want to perform the work on the valves that are closed (rotate engine as you go to be able to clean all valve pockets). Fill the valve pocket in the head with the cleaning solution and let it sit for a few hours. After the pocket has been soaking in solution, you will want to use the supplied brush to scrub the pocket clean (insert the brush into a standard drill for optimal performance). Once you have finished with the brush, use the supplied picks to get the areas behind the valves that could not be reached with the brush.

NOTE: During this time would be a great time to install intake spacers if they are available for your engine. Please go back one section to see if they are available for your car.

NOTE: Clean with caution. You are dealing with the cylinder head valves which are a crucial part of the engine. Letting the solution soak for a few hours allows you to gently clean the valve pockets.
