The Porsche Macan is a masterclass in chassis dynamics, yet the factory 2.0T calibration often leaves the driver wanting more. Characterized by a "sluggish" initial response and conservative power delivery. JHM’s Stage 1 and 2 Tuning Suite corrects these factory deficiencies, transforming the Macan into a truly responsive performance SUV.

By leveraging our extensive FSI development history, we have meticulously re-engineered hundreds of engine and transmission parameters to deliver a significant increase in overall power without compromising Porsche’s signature reliability.

 

Precision ECU Calibration 

Our software is designed for the discerning owner who demands a more intuitive connection to the vehicle. We focus on driveability as much as raw output.

  • Immediate Throttle Response: We have eliminated factory latency. Throttle input is now significantly more immediate and responsive compared to the stock profile.

  • Linear Power Delivery: Power delivery is recalibrated to arrive quicker and more naturally, removing the "gutless" sensation often felt in the lower RPM range.

  • Enhanced Output: Expect hard-hitting low-end torque coupled with optimized boost mapping that maintains high-RPM urgency as the turbocharger tapers.

  • Thermal Management: Integrated EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) safeguards ensure that performance boundaries are pushed only within safe mechanical limits.

 

Optimized TCU Calibration

To fully realize the Macan’s potential, our tuning package includes a comprehensive TCU calibration. This is a critical component in ensuring the PDK transmission logic works in perfect harmony with the increased engine output.

  • Refined Shift Logic: Our calibration effectively reduces early short-shifting in standard driving, ensuring the vehicle stays within the optimal power band for any situation.

  • Efficiency & Balance: We have maintained a sophisticated balance between high-performance shift speeds and MPG, preserving the Macan’s utility as an elite daily driver.

  • AMAX Launch Control: Gain access to AMAX Launch Control in both Manual and Sport modes, supported by increased clutch pressures to handle the enhanced torque curve.

  • Drive+ Option: In addition to our standard performance TCU software, customers can choose our proprietary Drive+ file. Drive+ is designed to bridge the gap between "Drive" and "Sport," offering a touch more agility for daily driving without the high-rev commitment of full Sport mode. Both files are included, allowing you to freely switch between them when flashing the vehicle.

 

Technical Highlights

  • Torque Safety Strategy: Precise torque reporting ensures that all factory safety systems remain intact while optimizing shift quality.

  • Maximum Boost Per Gear: Specifically mapped to provide faster spool and peak efficiency through the entire gear set.

  • At-Home Installation: This "one-and-done" solution is flashed via the JHM Power-Connect cable, requiring only a laptop and an internet connection.

  • 0–60 MPH: Reduced by 2.24 Seconds

  • 1/4 Mile E.T.: Reduced by 2.0 Seconds

For Flashing Method, select "Flash Myself, SEPARATE POWER CONNECT Cable Purchase Required, CLICK LINK BELOW" if you're going to be buying a cable from us and flashing your car on your own. You'll need to add this option.

Make sure you have THOROUGHLY read through the instructions and are confident that you can set your computer up correctly. If you select this option for your tune, you must select a shipping method for your order so we can ship you a JHM Tuning-Flashing Cable. Please select a shipping method once you've added the tuning and the flashing cable to your cart. Instructions for installing the flashing software on your computer will be emailed to you after purchase.

 

If you already have a JHM POWER CONNECT Cable, select "I already have a JHM POWER CONNECT Cable." **NOTE: This is a proprietary cable with drivers specific to our Flashing Software so you must make sure that you have a JHM POWER CONNECT Cable, NOT just a generic USB Vag Com cable.** After receiving your paid order, we will send you an authorization form which we will use to create your JHM Tuning Flash Browser account and login information. This is the information you will use to access our server and flash your car with the JHM Tuning-Flashing Cable that you already have.

 

DISCLAIMER: JHM is now using proven flashing technology in order to get our tunes on our customers' cars in the quickest and most convenient way possible. You will be installing a proprietary JHM software that works ONLY with our flash cable (supplemental software such as Microsoft .net may be required). This program is what allows you to detect your ECU part number, fill in your information, select the correct program based on your hardware and then write JHM Tune to your ECU all through your OBD II port. Both of these programs are highly specific when it comes to configuring your computer to run them properly. While every effort has been made to clearly and completely explain this configuration in our instructions, the customer will ultimately be responsible for removing or disabling their own or third party anti-virus software or firewalls that will block the port required for you to log into our flashing server (see the link to our instructions below to determine whether or not this is something you'll be able to do). Basic technical support provided by JHM to help install these programs on your computer, diagnose programs with your computer, and/or internet connection may be subject to an hourly fee. Additionally, if something happens to your ECU during the flashing process, you should be able to restore it using our software. If you are still unable to make the ECU flash properly, you will be responsible for all costs associated with restoring your ECU and fixing the issue.

 

Requirements for Tune: 
- Windows computer with at least 1 USB (Universal Serial Bus) port 
- Wired Broadband Internet Connection (wireless can be unreliable) 
- JHM Tuning-Flashing Cable (Flash cable length cannot extend beyond 10 ft long unless a powered USB hub is installed in-line. 
- Battery Charger or equivalent power source capable of sustaining a 40 amp charge

If you would like to get tuned at our location in Lathrop, CA please give us a call to schedule an appointment! If you'd like to get tuned at a JHM dealer close to your location, you can find one using our Dealer Map by clicking the "Dealers" Tab at the top of this page. You will need to contact your preferred dealer directly and schedule a tuning appointment with them. You shouldn't be charged more than an hours' worth of labor for your JHM Flash.

 

Our dealer network is large and growing daily. If we do not have a dealer within an hour drive of your location, we will do everything possible to build a new relationship with a shop close to you on your behalf. Please contact us for more information.

Vehicle Code § 27156:
(b) No person shall operate or leave standing upon a highway a motor vehicle that is required to be equipped with a motor vehicle pollution control device under Part 5 (commencing with Section 43000) of Division 26 of the Health and Safety Code or any other certified motor vehicle pollution control device required by any other state law or any rule or regulation adopted pursuant to that law, or required to be equipped with a motor vehicle pollution control device pursuant to the National Emission Standards Act (42 U.S.C. Secs. 7521 to 7550, inclusive) and the standards and regulations adopted pursuant to that federal act, unless the motor vehicle is equipped with the required motor vehicle pollution control device that is correctly installed and in operating condition. No person shall disconnect, modify, or alter any such required device.
(c) No person shall install, sell, offer for sale, or advertise any device, apparatus, or mechanism intended for use with, or as a part of, a required motor vehicle pollution control device or system that alters or modifies the original design or performance of the motor vehicle pollution control device or system.

Health and Safety Code § 43000:
43001. The provisions of this part shall not apply to:
(a) Racing vehicles.

As the aforementioned code sections outline, it is against the law to operate or use a vehicle on public streets or highways with modified, altered, or disconnected motor vehicle pollution control devices. This may include but is not limited to, Evaporative Fuel Controls, Catalysts, DPF, PTOX, PCV Systems, Exhaust Gas Recirculation Systems, Oxygen Sensors, Thermostatic Air Cleaners, Air Intake Systems, Fuel Injectors, Regulators, Adjustable Cam Gears, ECU Programming, Mapping, or other Computer Modifications. Air Pumps, Air Injection, Timing, and any other Emission System Modification(s).

Purchaser acknowledges and certifies to JH Motorsports Inc., that Purchasers vehicle will only be used for racing applications or off road vehicle use only. Purchaser requests these modifications for the purpose of enhancing the vehicle for competitive Racing Applications and will not use this vehicle on public streets or highways. Purchaser agrees to indemnify JH Motorsports Inc., all employees, officers, owners, and subsidiaries for any civil or criminal liability arising out of use of Purchasers vehicle on public streets or highways as Purchaser has been duly notified of the laws and regulations regarding disconnecting, alteration, or modification of a vehicle’s pollution control devices. Purchaser understands and has been advised the driving of a vehicle on public streets or highways could result in criminal or civil penalties.
