
JHM C5-allroad 4.2L 0A3 6-Speed Manual Transmission Conversion-Swap Parts List
NOTE: We do not recommend the RS4 0A3 transmissions in a B5 or C5 due to much lower ratios than the B6-B7 S4 and much higher cost to acquire. Here is a in depth look at a JHM Supercharged, 0A3 Swapped 4.2L C5-allroad: REUSED PARTS - These are the few parts that you will reuse from your car.
1 x Crank sensor.
1 x Driveshaft - to be modified as per below.
1 x Starter.
1 x 4.5mm trans to engine spacer and engine dowels. ELECTRONICS

2 x B5 S4 and C5 A6 2.7t 01E Trans mounts, we recommend 034 street density available on our site. PN=034-509-4046
1 x Set of B6-B7 S4 0A3 transmission to block bolts.
2 x Right Front B6-S4 6MT CV shafts.
1 x B6-B7 S4 0A3 transmission. (note, no spacer needed this car already came with the correct one.) Also the crank sensor needs to have the aluminum spacer removed that it originally had for the 5hp19 trans)
1 x B6-B7 S4 clutch and flywheel combo - JHM Lightweight Flywheel and Clutch Combo is recommended. (uses same starter so that is why we need to run this setup)
1 x B6-B7 S4 shift rod setup (all 3). NOTE: The body does need clearancing for the B6 rods sometimes due to rods being shorter and sitting more forward in the car, also when using a JHM shifter it helps to clearance for the back two shifter assembly mount holes to access the bolts due to the spacers.
1 x B6-B7 S4-RS4 OEM or JHM shifter. These are clamp on knob, you can run B5-S4 or C5 A6-allroad 01E shifters but they must be 01.5 and up with an angled base, keep in mind the B6-B7 shifter is much better
1 x B5-C5 plastic shifter box and boot only.
1 x B6-B7 S4-RS4 0A3 Drivers side front CV shaft shield.
1 x B6-B7 S4-RS4 0A3 Passenger side front CV shaft shield.
6 x CV shaft shield bolts.
1 x B6-B7 S4-RS4 0A3 Rear driveshaft shield.
2 x Driveshaft shield bolts.
1 x B5-C5 clutch master cylinder.
1 x B6 S4 early slave cylinder.
1 x JHM stainless clutch line (OEM works too but is more difficult install). DRIVESHAFT AND REAR DIFF PARTS
1 x C5 A6 2.8L 5-speed Rear diff- Diff code EUT with 3.89 ratio to match B6-B7 S4 transmissions front diff ratio.
1 x ADAPTED DRIVESHAFT (MAKE IT LONGER BY 1.5" on the front side of the center bearing). Any good driveshaft shop can do this, expect to pay between $250 to $400 depending on your shop. This is because they need to cut the shaft, add material and then rebalance both the front and rear sections. Keep in mind it is a great time to get a 034 driveshaft bearing from us, 2 x driveshaft boots (they are torn a lot which is bad for the joints) and or cv joints as needed to freshen it up and keep vibrations down. 1 x B5-C5 Clutch pedal assembly with all 3 pedals.
1 x Wiring and pigtails for clutch pedal assembly.
1 x Shift boot and bezel specific from a 2000-2004 MT C5 A6 or allroad. NOTE: the 02 and up have a clamp on knob.
1 x Shift knob. OEM or JHM. OEM are more difficult to find. If you have an questions regarding this swap/conversion, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
