Crankcase Ventilation Valve or PCV (OEM) Late, for B7-A4 2.0T , VW 2.0T FSI
- Seemingly random RPM fluctuations at idle that feel like a single misfire but the ECU does not show a code for misfires.
- Oscillating RPM at idle where the idle will rise up to 2000 to 3000 RPM without pressing on the gas.
- If applicable, depending on the location you have tapped for a boost reference on a boost gauge, a faulty PCV may cause the boost gauge to read inaccurately. NOTE ON FITMENT AND BUILD DATE SPLIT: There is a split on this part for B7-A4 2.0Ts. If you have a B7-A4 2.0T with a build date before December 16th, 2005 (displayed as 16.12.2005 in your car) you will have the EARLY version of this part. If that's the case, please go back one section and select the EARLY part and add it to your cart. If you have a B7-A4 2.0T with a build date AFTER December 16th, 2005 (displayed as 16.12.2005 in your car) you will have the LATE version of this part this is the part for your car. NOTE ON CHECK VALVES IN THESE CRANKCASE VENT VALVES: The only difference between early and late is that the early ones have a check valve located in the round hole next to the rectangle hole on the flange side where it bolts to the valve cover. The shape and look of the housing does not matter since Audi used several different externally looking housings through their supersession of the parts. If you install the wrong PCV valve on your car you can have idle issues. More info on this and the PCV - turbo to valve cover breather tube combinations as follows.
--EARLY PCV Crankcase Vent Valves: These have a check valve in the actual PCV (crankcase vent valve) and there is NO check valve in the end of the metal breather pipe that bolts to the turbo and connects to the valve cover on the passenger side via a short portion of hose.
--LATE PCV Crankcase Vent Valves: These have NO check valve in the actual PCV (crankcase vent valve) and there is a check valve in the end of the metal breather pipe that bolts to the turbo and connects to the valve cover on the passenger side via a short portion of hose. The original OEM part number for this part is 06F129101E or 06F 129 101 E then superseded to 06F129101P or 06F 129 101 P.
